The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) requests images and videos from patients, families and nurses. We are hoping to obtain images that include patients, families, newborns and team members that are multicultural and diverse. These photos are intended to illustrate a variety of scenarios with the ultimate goal of furthering the reach, depth and breadth of AWHONN’s education programs. Photo entries can be submitted by AWHONN members and non-members.

Images/Videos to Submit: 

  • Including but not limited to: patients in labor, nurse supporting patient with labor interventions (i.e., on birthing ball, getting epidural), birth (vaginal or cesarean), newly born infant, newborn skin-to-skin, breastfeeding, newborn procedures (lab draws, hearing screen, invasive procedures),newborns who require NICU admission, newborns with special medical needs or uncommon diagnoses, interactions between healthcare professionals and patients in the perinatal setting 
  • All pictures are welcomed! 

How to Submit Images:  

  • Photos can be sent as jpeg’s, png’s, or camera-raw files.  
  • Cell phone images are fine. Please send the largest file size that is available (or the original).  
  • We are interested in natural, full-color images. Please do not convert the photos to black and white or apply filters to them before you send them to us. 

Criteria: 

  • Individual submitting image must have copyright ownership of the image (the person taking the photograph is considered to be the original copyright holder) 
  • All individuals in the image must submit the model release 

Entry Period: 

The final date to submit images or video will be December 14, 2022 at 5pm Eastern Time. 

 

If you submit images/videos to AWHONN, you grant AWHONN a royalty-free, nonexclusive right to display the photograph in AWHONN’s education programs. Your photos/videos help AWHONN promote the health of patients, families, and newborns. Thank you for helping to further our mission through your photo/videography.
